A crown is a cap that covers and protects a weak tooth. A bridge replaces a missing tooth by attaching to the teeth on each side. Both are fixed in place.
What to expect
Usually two or more visits: the tooth is prepared, a mould or scan is taken, a temporary is fitted, and the final crown or bridge is cemented.
Aftercare
Brush and clean around the crown or under the bridge daily. Avoid very hard or sticky food on temporaries.
